Observational Studies on Use of MEBO and Scar Ointment in a Clinic Setting

MEBO appeared to promote rapid epithelialization of granulation tissue.  It was well tolerated by patients it was not smarting.  Most patients with small wounds preferred to have MEBO applied with a dressing.  It was a relatively simple and cost-effective method of treating wounds, especially where the patients did not want furthers surgical intervention.  It was also found to be a useful adjunct in the management of unstable post-burn areas and also unstable skin grafted areas.
